A time for every purpose under heaven:
“Sometimes we enter Kairos moments. Kairos is the Greek word for a time when things in heaven and on earth come into alignment, and things are different. They are moments of prophetic fulfillment and opportunity. Kairos moments are when God answers prayer and begins to move.” - GBT Friend
—— a time when God is calling His faithful ones into action. The world is craving deep, authentic connection like never before. Together, we can meet that need in ways that none of us could ever do alone.”
You’ve wondered how to change the world for the better.
You’ve struggled with how to leave a legacy that lasts.
You’ve ached for the lonely in your community—
and perhaps even longed for connection yourself.
This is your time, your place, your chance to say “YES!” to God’s best for East Liberty.
Join us. Come BUILD CommUnity and BE the Church with us at GBT.
This is our community. These are our people—God’s people.
the hungry are fed.
The sick are healed.
The lost hear Good News.
And the lonely find spiritual family to call their own.

But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Matthew 19:26
Through the years, the ministry of Greater Bethlehem Temple (GBT) has helped thousands of people spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Founded in 1933 by my father, the late Bishop Freeman M. Thomas, GBT has been an inspiration in the city of Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas. By the grace and faithfulness of God, we will continue to serve. With Jesus, all things are possible. Individually it may not seem much, but together we can do amazing things!
‘May the Lord bless you and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.’
