The Power and Authority of the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the only source of authority for all matters of faith and practice, and that it is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. -Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 KJV

Love God and Enjoy Him

Our chief aim is to glorify our Savior, even Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that: He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works; we should show forth the praises of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light; we may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom we shine as lights in the world. Holding forth the Word of Life, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death; to guide their feet into the way of peace. (See Acts2:38, Titus 2:13, 14; I Peter 2:9; Philippians 2:15, 16; Luke 1:79).

We believe in one God who is infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes in purposes, as well as omniscient and omnipresent. We believe that He was revealed to us a Father in creation, as Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him. (Isaiah 46:9; Colossians 1:15-17; John 1:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4)

We believe that in Jesus Christ, dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. (Colossians 2:9)

We believe in the virgin birth. Jesus was both human and divine and lived a sinless life. He was God manifested in the flesh. (Matthew 3:16-17; Philippians 2:7-11; I Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 2:22)

We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus ascended on high and has sent His Spirit (the Holy Ghost), which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and it is the same Spirit that is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. (Mark 8:31; John 20:17; Acts 1:9; Luke 24-50-52; John 14:26)

The Great Commission

We believe in justification by faith, repentance, holy living through sanctification, and the evidences of Salvation: The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7, 2 Timothy1:9). By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15, 16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6).

Greater Bethlehem Temple believes in divine healing, the Lord’s Supper, the resurrection of the dead, the personal return of Jesus Christ for His Church, and the glorious catching away of the saints when Jesus returns in the clouds in glory to take His people to heaven. (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 2:24; John 5:6; John 11:2; Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 13:26)
